Wind blows from all directions chilling the midnight sky
The temperature drops down as the carcasses of dried leaves fly
Fly and flutter into the hearts of the unfortunate down there near the void
The air is freezing and you're looking for someone, a warm hand to hold
He's there just waiting for the right timing, he's there simply searching
The right words to say and moves to make as you stand there thinking
Of various things that concerns the world of imagination and reality
Of love and lust, of places and people and of fate and destiny
Every exquisite move you make is being watched by him
A strong but gentle creature that could probably survive such a world so dim
Here it is now, another task, another challenge, another might be defeat
Stained by a humiliating past that he wishes he could someday delete
From his memory, from his heart, from the world of illusion
That he has been trapped for sometime then, a universe of his own creation
Where desperation reigned, where he had been quite torn apart
Where all love did was to not look back as it depart
Here it is now, another girl, another scenario, another test
Of his perseverance and endurance of a life so unblessed
You stand there, the innocent pale moon painting the peeling walls
And he's coming closer and closer internally anticipating the fall
You turn around and instantly saw his melancholy hoping face
And suddenly there it was, such a feeling you dare not erase
You and him are just a step away from the ultimate revelation, a step away from eternity
Just a step away from what he yearns for and what brought this serendipity
Say yes, just say yes, girl, stop this excruciating tension and pain
Just say yes and embrace the boy for there's everything to gain
You'd be a fool not to fall into the abyss of rose colored glasses
Grab the chance, grab it before it passes
High up on the mountains you and him are just a step away from heaven
So much closer to paradise, so much closer to a love freely given
